3DXTech HIPS 3DXMAX® HIPS

Filaments in this series

Natural

Very good, strong support material

Prints very easily

Polymer doesn’t absorb moisture; no drying required!

Can be removed from models by hand and dissolved away with d-limonene

Works perfectly with many materials, especially the industry’s workhorses like ABS and ASA.

This includes all of our famous composite variants of these grades, such as carbon fiber, glass fiber, and ESD-safe. B10

Specialties

Dissolvable SupportA water-soluble or limonene-soluble filament used exclusively as support material that can be washedPVA is the most common water-soluble example.
Easy PrintFormulated to reduce warping and curling. Prints on unenclosed printers without lifting off the bed. Often PLA-based with additives that lower internal stresses. Great for large flat parts.
SandableEasily sanded, filed, or carved without gumming up sandpaper.
LightweightVery light, often foaming or low-density. Floats in water. Often used for RC planes, drones, and buoyant objects
Tough / Impact ResistantEngineered to resist breaking, cracking, or shattering under impact. Unlike standard PLA, which snaps, this flexes slightly before breaking. Ideal for parts that get dropped, bumped, or stressed.
Low OdorEngineered to reduce harmful emissions and smells during printing. Safer for home or office use without industrial ventilation. Most common in ABS and ASA alternatives.
