Privacy Policy

VisualSpool ("we", "us") is a 3D printer filament tracking service operated by VisualSpool LLC, based in Colorado, United States. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it.

What we collect

• Account info: your email address, password (stored as a hash, we never see your actual password), and an optional display name.
• Your inventory data: the spools, filaments, brands, materials, variants, colors, shelves, and event history you enter.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, page paths, and error/performance telemetry. We use Microsoft Application Insights (error and health monitoring), Microsoft Clarity (anonymized usage analytics and session replay, with on-screen text and form inputs masked), and Cloudflare Web Analytics (privacy-friendly, cookieless traffic statistics) to keep the service running and improve it.
• Cookies: a single authentication cookie to keep you signed in, plus first-party analytics cookies set by Microsoft Clarity to measure how the app is used. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell your data.

How we use it

• To provide the service: store and display your inventory.
• To send transactional emails (password resets, account-related notifications). We do not send marketing emails.
• To diagnose errors and monitor service health.

Where it lives

Your data is stored in Microsoft Azure SQL Database in the United States. Email delivery is handled by Resend (resend.com). Application telemetry is processed by Microsoft Application Insights and Microsoft Clarity, and traffic statistics by Cloudflare Web Analytics.

Who can see it

Only you, VisualSpool LLC, and the third-party service providers listed above (acting on our behalf). We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose beyond running the service.

Your rights

• Access: everything in your account is visible to you while signed in.
• Delete: you can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Account → Danger Zone. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
• Correction: you can edit any data you've entered.
• Email: contact us if you have questions.

Data retention

We keep your data as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is removed from our database immediately. Backup copies (in Azure SQL's automated backup retention) may persist for up to 7 days before being overwritten.

Children's privacy

VisualSpool is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify Makers by email.
