ASA offers the same mechanical strength, heat resistance, and printing challenges as ABS, but with exceptional UV and weather resistance, making it the clear choice for outdoor, automotive, and long-term exposed applications where ABS would degrade, and PLA would fail

This filament is tricky to print, heat-resistant and weatherproof. Worth watching: it can be a little moisture-sensitive and a bit smelly to print.

Things to watch
- Can warp on large or sharp-cornered prints
- Picks up moisture over time, store it with desiccant
- Gives off noticeable fumes, print with ventilation or filtration
- Fussy about bed adhesion, use a brim, glue, or a textured plate
